Some love stories start with a grand gesture. Ours started with two mutual friends - Annie Kiser and Tanner Fanello - who apparently saw something we didn’t see yet. After they made the introduction, there was a brief spark, a couple of texts… and then a classic ghosting (we won’t name names, but let’s just say one of us got busy, distracted, or both).

Life went on, two whole years passed, and somehow the universe decided we needed a second chance. This time, we took it.

The funny thing? We had never actually met in person. Not once. So when we finally did, Chandler’s very first words were, “I’m taller than you. Is that a deal breaker?”

Spoiler: it was not.

From that moment on, everything just clicked. What started as a a shot-in-the-dark first date turned into a whirlwind romance filled with all the good things: baseball games, hikes in the Colorado sun, ski days, spontaneous dinners out, long conversations, and time spent with the friends, new and old, who have cheered us on and supported us from the very beginning.

In just a year and a half, it became clear that this wasn’t just fun—this was forever. So Alex got down on one knee and asked Chandler to marry him. (She said yes!)

Now here we are: building our life together in Denver, grateful for every twist, detour, and ghosted text that brought us to this exact moment.
